Hunt and Gather = Inspiration

It was a Hunt and Gather weekend with Sarah and her mom Sally...searching for holiday headband inspiration (and other sweet wedding finds for Sarah...ps, check out her wedding blog at Sarah's Confections).

Hunt and Gather hosts fabulous antiques and vintage finds. There are rooms and rooms of, well, stuff...and it's amazing. As we left I said, "You know, some people would hate (digging through) this!". Although, we agreed that would never be us.

There were loads of vintage clothing including dresses, furs, coats, lingerie, hats, shoes and accessories...and an amazing 'A' varsity sweater (tempting). Furniture finds include armoires, benches, chairs...along with a multitude of home accessories. This list barely encompasses all the tiny treasures to be found...old singular christmas lights, a room full of letters in many formats (wooden, signage, cards, scrabble), christmas ornaments and knickknacks galore!

We found a lot to be inspired by and spent a pretty penny on our favorites including crystals from vintage chandeliers, Christmas pins and mini presents, gold and silver jingle bells, tin ornaments, birds (of course), red berries, mini hat boxes...I know there were so many more things but I think you get it.

At the exit of the shop there was an amazing plaid display with blankets, suitcases, a thermos, pillows etc. which all coordinated. The merchandising alone is a wonder.

After our shopping excursion and a low blood sugar-satisfying lunch of Oreo malts, burgers and fries at Convention Grill in Edina (thank you Sally) we headed back to Sarah's and by 9pm had 13 new headbands for our event on Friday and one for a custom order. We can't wait to debut...here's a few choice snippets.

A little peak at a few of the items:

Check our Facebook page with this Friday's Holiday Bazaar info. Send an RSVP please so we can plan food and drink accordingly.
We expect you there, with bells on.
